Melissa A. Fabelo
Founder & Editor
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
Melissa is “hot and dangerous,” as her hero Ke$ha puts it. Actually, she is merely relatively attractive and pretty damn tame, so let’s start over: she is currently a graduate student at Widener University studying Human Sexuality Education with a research interest in the media’s perpetuating of societal myths and how that affects healthy sexual development in adolescent girls. She is also the Lead Social Action Representative for the Philadelphia chapter of Miss Representation. And she’s single.

Stephanie Ambroise
Staff Writer
Boston, Massachusetts, USA
Stephanie is a girl with a Save-the-World Complex. She is choosing to dedicate her life to helping people, while listening to a good song and munchin’ on some chips. Writing is her passion. She loves nature and nail polish. She loves pretty intensely, but that’s how she does everything. She goes to UMass Amherst, and she can dance until the sun rises. Which she does. She is a bisexual black babe, and she’s got something to say.

Jenn is elderly, which means rapidly approaching thirty-something. Past places of residence include Rochester, NY; Toronto, ON; Fayetteville, NC; and the greater NYC area. She’s a musician and a singer, and tears it up in Philly on a regular basis. A super science geek who works with all kinds of viruses and bacteria, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology (Microscopy) from SUNY Purchase, where she also double minored in Chemistry and Gay and Lesbian Studies. In her spare time, she likes to knit, play Wii games, experiment with vegetarian cooking, and attempt to become a celesbian.

Emma Jenkinson
Staff Writer & Facebook Page Manager
Canterbury, Kent, UK
Emma is the token British girl. Born and raised everywhere else but England, Emma did the Harry Potter thing, went to boarding school, and came out two weeks later. Because she’s cool like that. Currently studying Forensics and Psychology at University, she spends her free time reading, writing, being a gaming geek, and doing this nifty little thing called cosplaying, which is basically dress-up for big kids. She is willing to admit that she’s still learning, and might occasionally get over-exited and a bit carried away. Possible aims in life include writing a book, becoming a Forensic Profiler, and being Queen of Pin-Up in the UK cosplaying scene.

Lindsey Cain
Staff Writer
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
Lindsey just changed every facet of her whole entire life, including: leaving her job of nearly three years, fleeing her hometown (and state), and beginning graduate school with fellow Cookie Melissa. She enjoys toeing the line of appropriateness and helping to make difficult things approachable, generally by humorous means. No question is off-limits. Likes: feeling lucky, being lucky, getting lucky, movies, interracial relationships. Dislikes: racism, heteronormativity, that time of the month, and those who fail to acknowledge their privilege. Though she may undeniably prefer cupcakes, she is beyond thrilled to officially become a ToughxCookie.
